We won :D YES YES

If you go to Peter’s Twitter page, it says he only has 264,698 followers. Don’t believe it.

In an e-mail to Rob and Peter, Twitter stated, “There are a lot of problems with the following/follower infrustructure. We are working on it as we speak. see http://status.twitter.com) which should fix these problems. That code is set to roll out within a few days.”

“Peter was getting so many followers so fast, the system was interpreting them as spam,” said Rob.

Basically, the Twilighters broke Twitter!

Congratulations Peter, and the rest of the Tweeting Twilighters that helped Peter win! Get out the bikini, warm up, and get ready to do the “Bikini Dance,” Rob.

Rob Pattinson one Sexy Vampire

Robert Pattinson talks to Metro about his newly found fame

Robert Pattinson melted the hearts of many when Edward Cullen first appeared on screen in Twilight. The young actor is back in New Moon, but still admits he is shocked with the phenomenon Twilight has turned into. Pattinson sat down with Metro to talk about New Moon, his own success, and his character.
How is the filming going?
It’s great. To be honest, I am surprised at how relaxed it is. I was really nervous before we started because there’s so much expectation now. But with this team, everything seems to work really well. Everyone knows each other. It’s one of the most relaxed jobs I’ve ever worked on. It’s really strange. It’s going really well so far.
Last time we spoke, you told me that you still walked in the street without anyone recognizing you. I’m assuming that’s changed now.
I don’t walk in the street anymore, and when I do, I’m in disguise. (laughs) It’s actually a relief being back at work.
Were you surprised that Twilight became such a phenomenon?
It never ever fails to shock me. Even here. Yesterday, there were 300 people outside the set. It’s just crazy. Every day, every single person I meet knows someone who has a very strong attachment to the books. It’s very difficult to put your head around. I can go through customs at any airport in the world — every customs agent is like, ‘Can I get an autograph for my daughter?’ Every single time! It’s crazy! I just hope it doesn’t change the way I think and stuff.
Which is your favorite motion picture vampire of all time?
I always liked the original Nosferatu. I watched 30 Days of Night recently. I thought it was really good. But I wouldn’t say that I was a vampire fan.
You must be offered a lot of roles now. How are you making your choices?
I judge things purely on the script. I’m booked up for this year. I’ve been doing the most different things you can possibly imagine. Every part is so different. I can’t say any of the parts I’m doing — they haven’t been finalized yet. But I don’t pick them in terms of genre; purely the script. If I like the script and I like the part, then that’s all that matters.
Are there differences in your preparation to play Edward?
I feel very familiar with the character. I’m a ghost, a figment of Bella’s imagination. I’m not really playing Edward. I’m playing a kind of disrupted memory, which is really strange. I’m trying to play him as if Edward’s constantly thinking that things are going to fall apart. It’s this idyllic relationship on the top. I’m very, very close to the surface. He’s so insecure about everything.

Chris Weitz takes the Twilight helm with New Moon

METRO WORLD NEWS

After the success of Twilight last year, New Moon — the latest film adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s book series — is one of the most hotly anticipated movies to be released this year. Leading the production is director Chris Weitz, who is taking his first stab at the franchise.

Q. How does it feel to take over directorial duties of such a successful franchise?

A. On the one hand, it’s exciting to take over a successful franchise. On the other, it’s daunting. There are so many fans who have high expectations for this film, but it’s made easy by the fact that I inherited this amazing cast who are certainly very talented. So half of the time, I’m just overjoyed to be a part of this and the other half, I’m nervous that I’m going to be hunted down and killed by a pack of 14-year-old teenage girls in about a year’s time!

Q. You’re a very visual director. What’s your vision for New Moon?

A. We’ve got an amazing visual effects team. The whole idea is to use the full palette of colors, to have our shadows be very dark and to have our colours be very rich so that we can experience the full range of emotional texture. The idea is that this will look like a Victorian narrative painting in a way, with those medieval jewel-like colours as well as very glossy deep blacks, and for the composition of the frames to be classical. In some ways, this is going to be a rather old-fashioned film. There are elements that incorporate the latest technology and there are things that are very dynamic in the action scenes. But it’s more Dr. Zhivago than Iron Man.

Q. Dr. Zhivago was a romance, much like Twilight…

A. Well, these books are wonderful romances and appeal to people’s sense of their lives and loves. At the same time, they’re also very grand in scope.

Q. Is it a way of aiming at older audiences?

A. I think that would be nice, too. Actually, I think there’s an older audience for the books as well -- which is the hidden demographic that people don’t acknowledge, that people’s mom’s are reading this as well! I want to render a version that satisfies the fans of the book but also appeals to an older audience as well. Alexander Desplats is going to do the music, which is another great thing for me. He’s someone I worked with before. I think he’s immensely talented. So the idea is to make something beautiful.

Q. Is the music very important in this kind of film?

A. It is. The book itself is a very internalized narrative and music can be extraordinarily helpful in conveying those kinds of nuances of emotion which otherwise what you would rely on is voiceover or people flat out stating what they feel, which they never, ever do. So it helps you avoid exposition and it can make it intro a really gorgeous nuanced affair. Films enjoy more senses that almost any other art form, so music is going to play a tremendous role in this.

13 Reasons why smart girls love Robert Pattinson

By Connie Ann Kirk

It's no mystery that, like many girls, smart girls love actor/musician, Robert Pattinson, but you may not know why.

You're seeing his photo splashed on the covers of magazines at the check-out counter. You may have even seen him get zapped by an evil wizard and die in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire or reluctantly fall in love after 100+ years of searching for the right one in Twilight.

You may get the general vibe that there's something about this guy that sets girls' hearts racing (and some of their embarrassed moms, too; truth be told), but you may be dumbfounded why even the smartest girls you know--those who might rather die than be called a 'fangirl'--also seem to love this British actor so very, very much.

There are a few reasons why.

Well, maybe a baker's dozen or so.

We'll keep it to 13.

Before we begin, it is important to note one thing about smart girls and Robert Pattinson. They know the difference between Robert Pattinson, the actor, and Edward Cullen, his character in Twilight.

Ok, with that caveat out of the way, let's begin:

Smart girls aren't dumb when it comes to embracing tall, good looks; they just want to be sure there is something more behind what they see. In Pattinson's case, there is.
If a man can make them forget their troubles for awhile, or even better, enlighten them or carry them to a new place through a story or a song (both of which Mr. Pattinson can do), then he has their attention, admiration, and in some cases, a growing devotion. More than one talent? Double points. Robert Pattinson has double points. He is an actor, but he is also a talented musician and singer/songwriter.
It doesn't take an above-average intelligence to feel all warm and fuzzy when someone who is clearly more talented or better looking than the average person does not seem to know it (or show it, if he does)--and above all, does not take it for granted that you think he is above average in anything. Bravado doesn't cut it with the typical smart girl. She gets bored with it quicker than it takes the guy who is full of it to even realize he needs to get over himself. Pattinson is also not particularly sporty and gets teased by his co-stars that he gets hurt easily doing stunts. Many smart girls (at least, those who are not also student athletes) can relate to that.
Newsflash! Well, it's true. Smart girls read, and smart guys do, too. Readers share a special bond that is stronger than a lot of other things guys could do to try to attract girls. If some guys only knew. A lot of guys--a lot--do not read much. (A lot of girls don't either, for that matter, but we're talking especially right now about those who do). In interviews, Pattinson has talked about books he's read and has observed that several of the films he's appeared in so far happen to come from books.
Pattinson makes people laugh. Watch a YouTube interview of Robert Pattinson--almost any one of them. The guy has a sense of humor that just won't quit, and best of all, it's self-deprecating. He's the kind of guy smart girls want to take home to their parents because they have absolutely no doubt in their minds that they will like him. Charm and a sense of humor go hand-in-hand.
Somehow, to Americans, it goes with the charming British accent thing and, more importantly, it shows a good upbringing. Robert Pattinson appears to have good instincts for when to be silly and when to be respectful. The maturity to know the difference is unusual for someone his age, and smart girls, who also tend to be rather mature for their ages, appreciate that. The British accent thing? Well, let's just say that smart girls know that one British accent does not a gentleman make, but they also may especially get a kick out of the fact that Robert speaks perfect Queen's English and not Cockney.
Watch him in a YouTube interview again. Do you see him listening to the questions carefully? Do you see him thinking about an answer rather than always blurting out the first thing that comes to mind? Do you see him try to give a fresh answer to the same question he's been asked 1.2 million times already? Smart girls see these traits and appreciate the actor's efforts to communicate thoughtfully and well. In the listening department as well, it doesn't hurt that he knows music so well that he can recommend an eclectic list of good musicians and songwriters that smart girls might not have yet heard of and would like to know more about.
Another newsflash! This is also evident in his interviews. He appears to want to give a thoughtful answer most of the time. His answers themselves sound like they are from a person who thinks about subjects beyond sports scores or fast food. It makes one want to read something that Robert may have written. It is said that he has kept journals and written screenplays. It shows.

Thank you!!!

Twilight Volturi Michael Sheen Enjoys Non-Lead Aro in New Moon

Twilight Volturi Michael Sheen Enjoys Non-Lead Aro in New Moon
By Troy Rogers

In these current Twilight times, one of the best roles an actor can land is a character in one of the Stephenie Meyer based Twilight Saga films.

Recently cast Twilight actor, Michael Sheen, who’s no stranger to the world of vampires and werewolves, snagged one of the biggest New Moon vampire roles in the Twilight series, Aro, the Volturi covenant leader.

After starring in all three Underworld movies as the werewolf leader, Lucian, Michael Sheen brings his acting game to the New Moon worlds of both vampire and lycan. In transition from the legacy of hairy, four-legged shape-shifter to the manicured New Moon vampire leader, Aro, Sheen recently sat down with Empire magazine to talk about The Twilight Saga and his part in New Moon.

As Sheen revealed in the Twilight interview, Michael isn’t stealing any limelight away from the three main characters, Edward, Bella, and Jacob, played by Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner respectively, and the former Frost/Nixon actor enjoyed playing a non-lead role with Aro. As Michael Sheen told Empire, "It was nice to go in and not be playing the main part, just go in for a few days and play this really really extraordinary character. I remember I was thinking, 'Oh, there's a bit of a Child Catcher here [from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang]; bit of the Blue Meanie from The Yellow Submarine; bit of Olivier from Richard III. There was a bit of all kinds of stuff.'"

Since Michael Sheen isn’t the only new addition to the Twilight - New Moon set, the man Twilight fans will see as Aro also gave his thoughts on New Moon director, Chris Weitz. "It was great to work with Chris Weitz; it was a really funny set, really relaxed. We had a lot of things in common, and hopefully we're going to work together again soon doing something. That might be the thing that I direct, I don’t know yet, you never know.'"

Now that Sheen’s time on the New Moon set is over, we’ll have to wait and see what Sheen brings to The Twilight Saga. For the full interview with New Moon Volturi, Michael Sheen, head this way to the full Empire interview.

New Moon and Michael Sheen hit theaters on November 20, 2009.

Pierce Brosnan will be Robert Pattinson's father in Remember Me, like father like son?

Earlier this week, we learned that casting for Summit Entertainment's newest Robert Pattinson picture (Remember Me) had taken place - pinning Chris Cooper, Pierce Brosnan, and Emilie de Raven alongside Pattinson for the picture. Now we know, it seems, that Pierce Brosnan will appear in the film as Pattinson's father.

Like father like son? Let's take a look.

Well, firstly, they do have the look - tall, handsome, cunning. Secondly, they're both from the U.K., so they have that charming British accent.

Though, it must be said, Brosnan was born in Ireland whilst Pattinson was born in London. Both are Tauruses (Brosnan's birthday is May 16th while Pattinson's is May 13th), and both have taken on leading roles in major book-to-film franchises (what with Brosnan's portrayal of James Bond in GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, and The World Is Not Enough and Pattinson's work in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse).

Finally, they have both been rightfully selected on People's Most Beautiful List(s), with Brosnan being put on both the 1991 and 1996 lists and Pattinson being selected this year.

So, I ask you, is this a perfect father/son match-up?

Emilie De Ravin, Pierce Brosnan And Chris Cooper Join Robert Pattinson In ‘Remember Me’

What is best in life for you Twilighters and RPattz fans? News that Pattinson has been cast in a movie. What’s second best in life? Surely it has to be who is starring with him, right? Well, you have your answer when it comes to Pattinson’s latest film, “Remember Me,” because Variety reports that he is being joined by Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, and Chris Cooper, with actress Lena Olin in negotiations to jump in as well.

The latest casting additions reveal more about the plot… and you might want to start stocking up on those boxes of Kleenex. Pattinson plays a young man who has lost his brother to suicide, an event which left him traumatized and his parents (played by Brosnan and potentially Olin) separated. De Ravin’s character also comes with her own traumatic baggage, since she witnessed the violent death of her mother. She’s used it as the impetus to live her life to the very fullest. Cooper will play her father.

Somehow, Pattinson’s and De Ravin’s characters meet and fall in love, and the romance and personal healing will undoubtedly spring from the fact that Pattinson’s character is “sleepwalking through life,” and De Ravin is living with a manic, happy energy. Repressed boy meets quirky girl… now where have we heard that one before?

The film is being directed by Allen Coulter, and begins shooting on June 15. As fans know, Pattinson is already in New York City to prepare for filming… and quite possibly to stalk MTV’s Nicole Guanlao. Let the rumors begin — and of course, the on set photos!

Twilighters and Pattinson fans, what do you think of the “Remember Me” cast? What about the new story details? Is this one you will line up to see?

Robert Pattinson, a gangster? - The Examiner

From Remember Me to Bel Ami to Unbound Captives, The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Robert Pattinson is surely the object of many film-maker's propsective eyes right now.

With a diverse resume that brought him anywhere from the sad, sad Art in How To Be to the uber-eccentric Salvador Dali in Little Ashes (and, of course, the leading vampire in Twilight), Pattinson's capacity for thespianism is a hair shy of bringing him to the level of theatrical Renaissance Man.

As such, one role that is coming into the news lately is that of a gangster.

Says Us Magazine,

"I was talking to [author] Tom [Folsom] about who he wants to play Joe Gallo if you make this book into a movie. He said one of the ones he really wants is Leonard DiCaprio" producer Harvey Weinstein [said] at The Mad Ones book party in NYC Monday.

(Gallo -- a mafia associate known as "Crazy Joe" -- was portrayed by actor Joe Mantegna in the Godfather Part III.)

Who else could play the role?
"Rob Pattinson, James Franco, Leo...there's a bunch of guys," Weinstein goes on.

But Weinstein is a fan of Pattinson after working with him at the amfAR benefit in which he auctioned off two kisses to raise money for AIDS research.

"Rob Pattinson, I made him kiss girls in Cannes. He's the most charming, wonderful young man," Weinstein [says.] "He really cared about the charity, and that's not an easy thing to do. That's a sweet, sweetheart thing to do. And then we got two bids."

That said, given Pattinson's notorious talent for diversity, do you think "gangster" could be a good addition to his portfolio? 4tnz's article on the subject (and, frankly, the photograph accompanying it) might make you smile. Comment below and let us know!
