Robert Pattinson Can't Take a Bad Photo; Covers French 'Premiere' - The Improper

- By Samantha Chang

Twilight sensation Robert Pattinson just can't take a bad picture. Pattinson, 23, is smokin' hot on the latest cover of France's Premiere magazine.

Rob, who is currently in Vancouver shooting Twilight sequel Eclipse, has been on a whirlwind adventure this past year. He completed filming New Moon, the next installment in the Twi franchise, earlier this year.

In addition to being featured on the covers of countless magazines around the world, the once-struggling actor is now on the Hollywood A-list, with his choice of movie projects.

Pattinson is hounded by paparazzi and fans wherever he goes now and has persistently been linked to co-star Kristen Stewart, 19. While the pair has never confirmed the romance rumors, it's fair to say there will more speculation for least another two years, when all the Twilight sequels will have been completed.

Ironically, Rob--who is now adored by millions of girls around the world--once said he never had any luck with the ladies.
"I had really bad luck with girls [when I was younger]: the ones I liked hated me and the ones that liked me were not my type," said Pattinson. "But that’s something that I still go through. I like girls that I shouldn’t like. But I’m learning, and now I take my time before I let the girl know."

Death Cab For Cutie Want 'New Moon' Stars In 'Equinox' Video - MTV News

MTV NEWS!!

Bassist Nick Harmer admits Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner would make 'Meet Me on the Equinox' clip more 'popular.'

At first glance, Death Cab for Cutie might seem like an odd choice to write the first single from the upcoming "New Moon" soundtrack.

After all, unlike Paramore — whose "Decode" kicked off the ultra-successful "Twilight" soundtrack — none of the guys in Death Cab are "Twilight" obsessives. But before you judge too harshly, consider DCFC bassist Nick Harmer: He's been to Forks, Washington — the sleepy town author Stephenie Meyer set the "Twilight" saga in — and he's been there for fun.

"Oh yeah, I've been there a bunch. And I went before it was the place from the 'Twilight' books. It's definitely one of those Northwest towns you hit once or twice, and it's awesome she chose to set the novels there," Harmer told MTV News. "It's part of your trip through [Washington's] peninsula. There's not a lot of civilization out on the coast — I'm not being disrespectful, there are no giant cities out there — it's just towns, and you stop at all of them to see what they're all about."

Harmer knows a thing or two about Forks (for the record, he says it's "very nice" there), and he used that knowledge to help his Death Cab mates pen "Meet Me on the Equinox." The song will debut on MTV.com on Sunday, September 13, the day of the MTV Video Music Awards. It's a song the band would've been endlessly proud of even if it didn't get picked to be the lead single from the "New Moon" soundtrack (which hits stores October 20).

"We wanted to record a song that we loved and we would use on an album or anywhere and submit it to this process, and if they passed on it — if they were like, 'Hey, you know what? This isn't quite right for us, thanks a lot for trying' — we'd still have a song out that we'd be proud of, that we could put somewhere else. For us, it was a no-lose situation," Harmer explained. "What was most important for us was to get the material right first ... and it tied into these films, especially 'New Moon,' because if you strip away all the vampirism and the werewolves and the Northwest and everything, basically, the 'Twilight' series is just a big romance novel. It's a big story about love, and that's a major theme for us."

And as luck would have it, the tune did get picked, which means Death Cab are now gearing up to shoot a video for the song (they'll film it later this week in Toronto). And though details about the clip are still slim, Harmer seems to be onto something with his idea — one that will no doubt endear him even further to "Twilight" fans.

"The safe route would be to go with the straight performance video, like that Paramore video. But I don't think we're going to be outside in the woods ... you know, been there, done that. I don't think we're going to try to cut a narrative in where we're all dressed up like vampires running around with fake teeth in," he laughed. "I'm of the mind-set that the more Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner you can throw in the video, the more popular the video is going to be. Nobody wants to look at us, so we'll probably be standing in the shadows."

The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards will take place September 13 at 9 p.m. ET.

Robert Pattinson: How To Be on DVD November 17 - Just Jared Jr

Robert Pattinson strums a guitar on the box art of his indie flick, How To Be.

The 23-year-old British actor plays Art in the dramedy, an aspiring musician and supermarket worker who is stuck in a rut. He’s just been dumped by his girlfriend and is forced to move back home to live with his emotionally distant parents. Art is hopeless and depressed until he discovers the best-selling self-help book “It’s Not Your Fault” and spends his inheritance money to hire the book’s oddball author, Dr. Levi Ellington (Powell Jones), as his live-in life coach to get him through his “quarter-life crisis” and help him be “more normal.”
The How To Be DVD, with an exclusive interview with Robert, never-before-seen footage and a 50-minute making-of featurette hits stores on Tuesday, November 17
Well I don't know about you, but this news made may day!!! :D

EXCLUSIVE: First Look at New Moon's Evil Volturi

Prepare to be scared.

In New Moon, the second installment in Stephenie Meyer's wildly popular Twilight saga, readers are first introduced to the ancient ruling class of vampires known as the Volturi.

Determined to capture their creepy menace for his screen version opening Nov. 20, New Moon director Chris Weitz has given them custom-crafted blood-red eyes.

"They're all hand-painted, specially manufactured contacts," Weitz tells PEOPLE. "They're opaque red, almost like preying mantis eyes. You can't really see into them. There's something terribly off-putting about it."

Official Stephenie Meyer New Post

August 27, 2009

I just received the following announcement from Atlantic Records (the record label that produced the Twilight Soundtrack):
The first single has officially been confirmed for the New Moon Soundtrack! Death Cab for Cutie has written an exclusive song for the movie entitled 'Meet Me On the Equinox.' Below is a statement from the band about the song:
"We are very excited to be a part of this amazing series of novels set in our own backyard. It just seemed a perfect synergy that a band from the Northwest would create a song for a series of novels set in the Northwest. We wrote 'Meet Me On the Equinox' to reflect the celestial themes and motifs that run throughout the Twilight series and we wanted to capture that desperate feeling of endings and beginnings that so strongly affect the main characters. This song marks the first attempt that Death Cab for Cutie has ever made at contributing new, unreleased material for a film and we are proud to be a part of the Twilight legacy." — Nick Harmer / Death Cab for Cutie

Additionally, we have the exclusive premiere of the soundtrack album cover below! The soundtrack will be in stores on October 20th, 2009, stay tuned for more information!

Exclusive: first look at 'New Moon' Volturi member Marcus - The Examiner

August 27, 12:45 PMTwilight ExaminerAmanda Bell

Just released by The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse film studio Summit Entertainment is this exclusive first look at one member of the Volturi guard - Marcus (portrayed by Christopher Heyerdahl).

Heyerdahl had a lovely interview back in July where he discussed the role of Marcus, stating, "[t]hrough a series of tragic circumstances, the love of his life was killed, and he's now being forced to stay and use his powers for the betterment of the Volturi."

The following, though, reveals all you might never have known about the character and plans to bring Marcus to life on the big screen with November's release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

MARCUS
Full Name: Marcus
Status: Vampire
Group: Volturi Coven
Date of Birth: Around 1300 BC
Date of Transformation: Unknown
Special Abilities: He sees the strength of the relationships between people

“You already know what you’ll do, Aro.”

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:Marcus is the most detached of the Volturi leaders. The loss of his mate has essentially turned him into a zombie over the centuries. He is surprised by the intensity of Bella and Edward’s relationship.

VOLTURI

1) The Volturi include: Aro, Caius, and Marcus as the leaders, and then Jane, Alec, Demetri, Felix, Heidi, and several other unnamed members of the guard.
2) The Volturi are similar to a ruling body, and protect the secret of vampires by wiping out any “problems” as vampire law defines.
3) The Volturi live in an ancient Tuscan city called “Volterra”.
4) Aro and Jane’s powers do not work on Bella.

Director Chris Weitz on the Volturi --"No matter how strange one of the characters is in a work of fantasy, I think you have to approach them as people and then so you start to think, 'They've been around for 2,000 years. How would they interact with one another?' The conclusion was that after 2,000 years you'd probably be more than mildly insane. No matter how cultured or gracious you appear on the surface. And I think that's what Michael Sheen managed to portray as Aro, the head of the Volturi -- on the surface he's terribly gracious, warm, a wonderful host and at the same time he's lethal and frightening. It's also what Dakota Fanning conveys as Jane.
She's innocent looking in appearance but she's absolutely deadly. The first thing I wanted to do was put them in a setting that wasn't Dracula's castle. There have been so many vampire movies and werewolf movies and horror movies where everything has been dark and dreary. Instead, their headquarters is surprisingly light and crisp. And the characters that they play have a kind of a tactile reality to them in spite of how bizarre their situation is really. The whole point is not to leave Forks, Washington where everything has really been quite realistic and then suddenly go to a location that completely throws you out of the movie. And the set although it's huge and grand and magnificent actually feels like a real place."

Comic Con Outakes :D - Thank you Pattinson Online

Becky Cohn was the lucky girl that got Peter Facinelli's Twilight Chair!

I ask Becky (@RSCohn) to share her story with our blog, she was very nice and said yes :D

Thank you Becky....Give the chair a nice *hug* from me LOL !!

Hey Dri-

So here is what I sent to Andrea & Chelle for Peter's official website...

Becky never really thought in her wildest dreams that she would actually win Peter Facinelli's chair back. When she did, she was ecstatic! Here is her story as told to us:

The story of me winning Peter's Twilight chair back... Oh goodness! Well, it was about the time he & Rob announced the Twitter Bet that I started following him, and have been addicted ever since! Then, when Peter announced that he was going to give away his Twilight chair back to a fan, I went ahead and dropped my name into the drawing online... I never win anything, so didn't think anymore of it after that.

The night of the drawing, I was driving home from the gym with my two kids in the backseat of the car. It was hot, but we had a short ride, so I had the windows open, the stereo blasting out the Twilight soundtrack (of course!). When the phone rang I though it was my husband but didn't recognize the caller ID. I answered with a slightly harried "Hello?" and I hear, "Is this Rebecca Cohn?" I have no idea who it could be but answer, "Yes, this is Rebecca." ... "This is Peter Facinelli", I hear (HUH? Who'd he say?), only it took my brain about 6 seconds to comprehend it! I frantically roll up the windows and turn down the stereo, so I can hear better, while in complete utter shock... All the time, I'm going "Oh. My. God!... Are you serious? For real?" Peter put me on speaker phone for all at the Affliction event to hear and told me they'd done the drawing for the Grand Prize and guess who's name came up? "Mine? Me? OMG! For real? I never win anything... are you serious?!?" "Yes!" he tells me I'm the winner of his Twilight chair back. "So, tell me about yourself, who are you? Where are you?" he asks. I laugh and say, "Well, I'm Becky Cohn! I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. I'm a Mom to 2 little girls. And I work at for our local public library system, The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, which just happens to be one of the top 10 library systems in the country!" He's impressed with the fact that I work in a library and asks about the Twilight series books. "Oh yes, I've read them all and was instantly addicted. We have many, many copies of all 4 books and you're lucky if you can get your hands one! The waiting list is still long for all 4 of them!" And that was about the end of our conversation... with a few more "Wow"s, "OMG"s and "Are you for real?"s from me. LOL! The whole conversation only lasted about 2 minutes.

After I hung up, I was in complete & total shock. I was shaking ("I had an adrenaline rush. It's very common... You can Google it." LOL!)... still trying to drive... and felt like I'd just been hit over the head or something. My brain could no longer function. I called my husband to tell him the news and got "Who? You won what? Okay, whatever..." (He now knows very well who Peter is and why this win was so special!) I called a friend of mine to tell her... and while she didn't know who Peter really was, she was way more excited for me. As the evening wore on, I was so wound up! I was surprised I could fall asleep at all that night. All the next day, I felt like my head was in the clouds! I was still in shock! I was telling my boss, co-workers... whoever I could find that was a Twilight fan, or at least knows what Twilight is!

It took awhile for me to get everything. Rob DeFranco was the one who sent everything and he's a pretty busy guy. Plus, he needed to get one more thing from Peter (which turned out that he needed to sign a little letter that Rob had typed up for me) and Peter had been on the run since the day after the Affliction event. Finally, they hooked up in NYC the week Peter was visiting with his family before Comic-Con. So, about 3 1/2 weeks later, I finally got the first package via FedEx that contained the chair back, letter, signed photo and iPod touch. I actually ended driving across town to pick it up at FedEx because I needed to sign for it and the FedEx route in my area doesn't deliver late enough. But I was so excited! I had my girls with me when we picked it up and of course we had to open the box in the car before we left the FedEx facility. They were as excited to see it as I was! And in the words of my 8 year old, "Mom, you are sooooo lucky!" LOL! I could hardly contain myself that night. I drove home and took everything out of the box... Had to play with the itouch immediately, took quick pix of everything with my Blackberry and posted to my Facebook page! I even considered (seriously!) sleeping with the chair back that night... but then thought my husband may not appreciate that! LOL! And for the next week, I carted the whole box of stuff back and forth to work to show everyone.

About a week after I got the initial package, I came home to find a huge box on my front porch... the rest of the chair arrived. It was actually a brand new "directors chair" that Rob/Pete bought for me to display the Twilight chair back on. It's really nice! I have framed Peter's signed photo & the letter and have them hanging on the wall by the chair... My husband calls it my "Peter Facinelli Shrine". The chair back is mine now... It will not leave my possession. Peter asked me to take good care of his chair and that's what I intend to do.

I have actually arranged for it to be on public display (securely, of course) in the Teen area at my library in November. They are planning a big Twilight event around the opening of New Moon and I offered to let them borrow it. I work in the Programs & Exhibits Office as the Programs Assistant and occasionally assist with the exhibits, so I know that it will be very secure and I can check on it everyday!

The whole experience has been very cool! The only thing that would make it any cooler, would be to have a chance to meet Peter in person and thank him. Maybe one of these days I will. I did offer him to stop by for a visit with his chair anytime he's in/around Cincinnati. LOL! Told both Peter & Rob I'd take them out for the best ice cream they've ever had if either of them wants to come for a visit (Cincinnati is known for some goooood ice cream!).

'New Moon': Secrets From the Set - EW.com

With a new director, a new level of fame for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, and a new set of washboard abs for Taylor Lautner, the second film in the ''Twilight'' series promises even more swooning for its legion of fans -- get the inside scoop!

Kristen Stewart lies on a beige carpet, surrounded by a mess of pink roses and broken crystal. Her sweater is ripped, revealing a bloody gash on her right arm. It's April in Vancouver, and the New Moon cast is filming Bella Swan's climactic 18th-birthday celebration — the one cut short after an innocent paper cut turns the Cullen family, in one split second, from civilized ''vegetarian'' vampires into six beastly creatures hungry for sweet human blood. Director Chris Weitz wants another take of Edward (Robert Pattinson) fighting off his vampire brother Jasper (Jackson Rathbone), as Stewart lies injured in the background. This is the third freezing night in a row that the cast has worked until dawn, but that doesn't stop the set from feeling warm and jovial. Pattinson mugs for the movie camera between takes and teases his costar for just lying on the floor in the midst of all the vamp-on-vamp violence. ''Do you want Kristen to give us a little life back there?'' he jokes to the director. Kristen smiles. ''I'm just writhing down here,'' she says. ''A lot of writhing. I writhe really well.''

So do Twilight fans. Right now, for instance, millions of them around the world are writhing in delicious agony as they wait for New Moon to hit theaters on Nov. 20. Last year Twilight, the first adaptation of author Stephenie Meyer's series, grossed close to $400 million worldwide and set Stewart and Pattinson on the road to superstardom — and superscrutiny. Now the team is back with New Moon, though the sequel is a different beast — and one that's not as easy to tame. Meyer's second book is steeped in heartbreak and sadness, focusing on Bella's road to recovery after Edward smashes her heart into a million pieces and then vanishes. In addition to the melodrama, the movie has to make do with very little of the dreamy Edward Cullen. Instead, it mainly concerns the burgeoning relationship between Bella and her friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner), who transforms into a gnarling werewolf. Pattinson couldn't be happier with his downsized role. ''It was a stress-free job for three months,'' says the actor, 23, in his charming British lilt. ''All the pressure was on Taylor.''
