Auditions are being held for a feature-film adaptation of “The Host,” a novel by “Twilight” scribe Stephenie Meyer.

As Hollywood tries to keep up with the runaway train that is the “Twilight” saga, Chockstone Pictures and Nick Wechsler Productions have snapped up the right to “Host” and have hired Andrew Niccol to direct. The Oscar-nominated screenwriter of “The Truman Show” also helmed “Gattaca” and “Lord of War.” He’s aiming to have “Host” in theaters in 2011.

Acting-Auditions.com says auditions are being held for the following parts:

Melanie “Mel” Stryder
Wanderer / Wanda
Jamie Stryder
Uncle Jeb
Jared Howe
Ian O’Shea
Kyle O’Shea
Principal actor casting will be held in Culver City, CA. For more details, click this link. Extras casting will be announced closer to filming date in early 2011.

Last week Summit Entertainment announced via Twitter that the new Eclipse trailer will debut on Oprah Show. Millions of fans await the third installment of the The Twilight Saga in which the love triangle between Edward, Bella and Jacob continues and the werewolf pack and the Cullen clan join together to fight a new breed of vampires.

Oprah with the help of Dakota Fanning introduced the 'Eclipse' trailer and they also had a chat about the movie. "I was just so honored that they wanted me to be a part of it," Fanning said. "And the character that they asked me to play, Jane, is just such a great character to play. She's kind of evil and the costumes are amazing and the makeup was amazing. To get to have the blood-red eyes was so cool and something I was really looking forward to."

Following their chat via satellite, Oprah said, "OK, here's the moment all you Twi-Hards have been waiting for," before having Fanning introduce the "Eclipse" trailer.

The movie is set to be released on June 30th. On May 13, "Oprah" will showcase another "Eclipse"-focused episode featuring appearances by Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

'Twilight' stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner coming to 'Oprah'

Oprah Winfrey revealed on Friday that the stars of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" will be coming to Chicago next month to tape an episode of her show. The announcement came at the end of her interview with "Twilight" actress Dakota Fanning, via skype.
"Dakota, we'll see you in Chicago on Thursday, May 13," Winfrey said. "We'll have all the other big 'Twilight' stars right here too. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner all will be here. Tune in for a 'Twilight' show."

Pattinson didn't promote the franchise's previous film, "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," in Chicago, but he did appear at the Orland Square Mall in Orland Park, Ill. right before the original "Twilight" came out.

"Eclipse," the third film in the series, hits theaters June 30.

What Can 'Twilight' Nation Expect From Oprah 'Eclipse' Episode?

A first peek at the new 'Eclipse' trailer and surprise guests are expected on Friday's 'Oprah Winfrey Show.'

With "The Oprah Winfrey Show" set to air its "Twilight"-themed episode on Friday (April 23), we can already imagine the talk-show host introducing the cast in her trademark vowel-hugging inflection: "Taay-LOR LAUT-ner! Kris-TEN STEW-art!" Or maybe, "Ro-BERT PATT-inson!" But Twi-Hards will have to wait until the show airs to find out for sure.

Details about Winfrey's "Twilight Saga: Eclipse" show are being as closely guarded as the KFC recipe. What we do know, though, is that fans will get their first look at the David Slade-directed third film in the franchise. The unveiling was first teased on the official "Twilight" Twitter account: "Visit our social networks after to chat live with surprise guests from the cast." The tweet continued, "After the trailer launch, stay for a live video chat at 8:15 p.m. ET/ 5:15 p.m. PT with Bryce Dallas Howard, Nikki Reed and Julia Jones!"




That, of course, seems to imply that Reed (Rosalie Hale), Howard (who takes over as vampire Victoria in "Eclipse") and Jones (Leah Clearwater) will appear on the chat show and then go online afterward. Who else the Queen of Talk will interview from the immensely popular vampire series remains to be seen.

Even more tantalizing than Oprah's guest list is the promise of the best glimpse so far at "Eclipse." The June 30 release recently hit a few speed bumps, as word leaked that additional scenes required re-shooting. A peek at some of the special effects and character-driven scenes that Ashley Greene recently raved about could make everyone forget very quickly about any anxiety over potential release delays.
